This one is a Mark 3, 1918. With charger guide. The Rear of the bolt is verticle with grips.

SMLE (Short Magazine Lee Enfield)

The standard Infantry Rifle as used by the 39th Battalion. Made in .303 calibre and were capable of using Standard Mk7 projectiles (ball) as well as tracer, armour piercing, and also used as a grenade launcher.

These rifles were issued during WW1, WW2, The Korean and Malayan Campaigns and were made in most Commonwealth countries to exacting specifications.
