Jan 12 2024 BBQ at One Tree Hill Picnic Grounds (Lord Somers Rd, Tremont)

Do not use main entrance of Dandenong Ranges National Park near corner of Burwood Hwy & Mount Dandenong Tourist Road. Drive via Churchill Drive OR One Tree Hill Road, Ferny Creek to locate the entrance of the One Tree Hill Picnic Ground – See location on Map.

The BBQ will commence at 11:30am. Sausages, onion, bread, salads, sauce, tea, coffee all provided, possibly cake or sweets. Bring your own chair if possible. There will be a military book swap table, bring one or some, take some.

We trust that the Parks Vic Staff have trained the Kookaburras not to attend and steal our snags.

An appropriate donation to allay the costs would be appreciated, you are also welcome to bring your own food.

There will be a short Memorial Service and you are free to inspect the Memorial Panels along the pathway at the site and also the Miniature Kokoda Plateau Memorial Cairns. Further details closer to the date.
